A LIFE-SAVING GIFT: A LIVING KIDNEY DONOR COULD CHANGE EVERYTHING

My name is Margaret Prior, and I am urgently seeking a living kidney donor.
I was diagnosed with a rare hereditary kidney disease—ALPORT'S SYNDROME—when I was just three years old. Since then, my life has been a journey of hope, discipline, and determination to preserve my kidney health. I’ve followed every medical recommendation, maintained a healthy lifestyle, and done everything within my power to delay the inevitable. But now, at 62, my kidneys are rapidly failing, and TIME IS RUNNING OUT.
I have watched this disease take the lives of my beloved mother, two uncles, and a niece—each far too young. At age 12, I became my mother’s home dialysis caregiver, helping her three times a week after school. That experience changed my life—and taught me the harsh reality of kidney failure.
Today, I am blessed with a loving husband of 30 years, two amazing children, and six beautiful grandchildren who are the light of my life. MY GREATEST WISH IS SIMPLE: MORE TIME. More time to love them, laugh with them, and be part of every precious moment. But without a kidney transplant, my future is uncertain. Dialysis is looming, and although it can sustain life for a while, it drastically limits quality of life and shortens life expectancy.
Because Alport’s is genetic, most of my family members are not medically eligible to donate. I am currently on the LONGEST WAITLIST for a deceased donor kidney. I’ve been told my wait could be 5 years or longer. I may not have that long.
But you could change that.
A LIVING KIDNEY DONOR could restore my health, grant me more years with my family, and give me a second chance at life.
Today my kidney function is rapidly declining, and I will soon need dialysis to survive. I am experiencing anemia and daily headaches, nausea, fatigue and weakness. My blood has become too acidic due to the uric acid buildup from my poorly functioning kidneys, all of which has made me unable to participate in life with my family the way I use to. Simple tasks now seem daunting. Even walking across a parking lot at times can leave me feeling exhausted if I am having a difficult day.
Please help me to live a strong healthy life, one that allows me the opportunity to participate fully with my dear and precious family and friends whom I love so much.
The generous and selfless gift of your spare kidney will give me a chance to live a full and blessed life.

The truth is dialysis can only save my life for a limited period of time. Which is why I’m searching for a living kidney donor NOW to help me avoid years of painful treatment and give me more quality time with my husband, children, and 6 precious grandchildren.
I am on the LONGEST WAITLIST for a deceased kidney donor. My current wait time for a deceased donor kidney: will be 5 years or more.
Please, I need HELP NOW!
A LIVING DONOR COULD SAVE MY LIFE!
A FACT ABOUT KIDNEY DONATION: Most people only need one kidney to live a healthy, normal life.
KIDNEY DONATION BASICS:
A direct match is not necessary. A kidney may be donated on my behalf through the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona. If your kidney is not a direct match for me, your kidney donation would still allow me to qualify to receive a compatible kidney exchange from another living donor who is my match. This is accomplished through their voucher exchange program, similar to an IOU for a kidney. This increases the number of transplants performed each year and makes for the best patient outcomes. A donor donating a kidney on my behalf would have their costs of testing, hospital and medical care covered through my insurance.
HOW TO HELP ME:
You can help me by SHARING MY STORY and the link for this webpage via social media and email. Just by sharing my story you will help save my life. Sharing would be like throwing a life preserver into the water to save me from drowning, without jumping into the water with me. If you would like to speak with someone confidentially for more information, without any obligation to proceed further, call the phone numbers listed in the DONATION links for the Mayo Clinic in Arizona, or UMC of Southern Nevada transplant program offices and a knowledgeable person will contact you.
WHERE TO DONATE:
Donors can be located anywhere in the United States. I am on the kidney transplant lists for the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona and with UMC of Southern Nevada, Las Vegas, NV. I AM JUST WAITING FOR AN EARTH ANGEL TO BE A DONOR.
If you feel called to explore being my living donor, or if you can please help by SHARING MY STORY, you could be part of my miracle. Thank you for caring. And thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for giving hope a chance to grow.
God bless you.
